KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
In the sleeve A, which has a toothed edge B at its upper end, the part C, which carries a toothed ring D , is inserted in such a way that the toothing D engages in the sleeve toothing B. In part C , a rubber pipe E sits airtight and is connected to the drain pipe F at its lower end. The tube F is soldered to the sleeve A , while the part C is rotatable in the direction of the arrow. The part C has a grooved cone G above the ring gear D and its neck-shaped attachment C 1 is inserted into an opening of the capsule H, which also has a grooved cone J. The capsule H is pulled down by the spiral spring K, which sits between the sleeve bead A 1 and the capsule bend H 1 , and the cone J is thereby pressed onto the cone G.
If you want to fill the holder, the capsule H is rotated in the direction of the arrow indicated in FIG. Here, the capsule H 1 takes part C with it, since the grooved cone J engages in the grooved cone G and the toothing B allows the toothing -D to rotate in the same direction. As a result of this rotation of part C , the rubber tube E is rolled up and the air is removed from it. The tube F of the holder is now placed in a container filled with ink, the cone J is lifted from the cone G by pushing the capsule H upwards, FIG H lifts part C of the attachment C 1 , the toothing D out of the toothing B. Since the part C with its attachment C 1 rotates slightly in the opening of the capsule H , the rubber tube E rolls back into its natural position and sucks up the ink. If the capsule H and the part C have been brought back into the position shown in Fig. 1 and you now want to use the holder, the rubber tube E is rolled up again by turning the capsule H , but only until the bottom in The pen L inserted into the holder is supplied with enough ink from the tube F. Since the teeth D on the teeth B only. forward movement, but not backward movement, the rubber tube E remains in its rolled-up position, and when the holder is used repeatedly it is almost always necessary to rotate it from tooth to tooth in order to supply the pen with ink again.
