a tooth is readily reached thereby insuringthorough cleansing.

A further feature is in the provision of a device, the elements of which are removable and replaceable whereby it is made possible to discard old and unclean brushes and substituting new or freshly sterilized.

A still further object is in the provision of a massaging element for the gums, tending to stimulate circulation therein, thereby lessening chances of infected gums, pyorrhea and other diseases of those members.

These and other useful results are obtained by the novel construction and arrangement of parts hereinafter described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a fragmentary partial sectional, partial side elevational view of a simple form of the improved brush.

The device shown in Figure 1 consists of a plain handle 32 in which is set a stem 33 bent into a shape whereby a brush may be used in the mouth to the best advantage.

An outer shallow conical shell 34 may be secured by a collar 35 to the stem 33, which has a reduced element 36 extending axially into the shell and through an inner shell 37,

40 between which is disposed a circular row of bristles 38.

The extremity of the rod is upset to clamp the shells in tight relation and held by Y branches 39, while the interior of the inner shell is filled with rubber or like vulcanizable substance acting as a filler to prevent an undesirable accumulation of tooth paste or the like used in connection with the brush, and it will be noted that a specially effective form of tooth brush is thus provided.

Figure 2 discloses a similar shaped brush consisting of a circular or rather conical row of bristles 42 held between inner and outer conical shells 43 and 4% respectively, the latter having an extending knob 45 at its base suited to engage in a socket.

The brush shown in Figure 3 consists of bristles 46, the outer and inner periphery of which form a circle, set in semi-circular shaped cup or body 47. Rigidly engaged with the body is a' straight shank having a globular element L3 to be tightly held in the handle or casing and used for cleaning the outer surfaces of the teeth.

lVhile preferred embodiments of this device have been shown and described, it will be understood that changes in the form, arrangements, proportions, sizes and details thereof may be made without departing from the scope of the inventionas defined in the appended claim.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
