This invention relates to the class of stationery and pertains particularly to an eraser.
The primary object of the present invention is to provide an improved type of eraser designed to be carried upon the finger of the user.
Another object of the invention is to provide a finger eraser so constructed that it will not turn or get out of proper position while being worn.
The invention will be best understood from a consideration of the following detailed description taken in connection with the accompanying drawing forming a part of the present invention with the understanding, however, that the invention is not confined to any strict conformity with the showing of the drawing but may be changed or modified so long as such changes or modifications mark no material departure from the salient features of the invention as expressed in the apended claim.
In the drawing z- Figure 1 is a View in side elevation of the finger ring eraser embodying the present invention;
Figure 2 is an edge view of the same;
Figure 3 is an edge view of the ring looking at the same as turned through a quarter revolution from the position shown in Figure 1.
Referring more particularly to the drawing wherein like numerals of reference indicate corresponding parts throughout the several views the numeral 1 indicates the body of the present eraser, the same being, as shown, in the form of an annular rubber body designed to be placed upon a finger preferably the indeX finger or the second finger at a point adjacent the first joint.
At diametrically opposite points the ring body has formed integral therewith the triangular erasing bodies 2, one edge of each being directed away from or radially of the ring body so that when the eraser is to be used the sharp edge of the body will be in proper position.
While of course, it is known that finger devices have been provided heretofore for carrying erasers the present device is an improvement over these former devices in that when in place upon the finger it will remain as originally positioned, whereas, in erasers of the type at present employed the single erasing body acts to work the ring about the finger so that when the eraser is to be used the holding ring must be shifted so as to bring the eraser into proper position.
As is shown, the present eraser is also relatively broad so that the ring will not out into the finger or otherwise be uncomfortable thereon.
Having thus described our invention, what we claim is An erasing device of the character described comprising a relatively broad finger band and a pair of oppositely directed eraser bodies mounted on the band, one of said eraser bodies being adapted for use in erasing, and
the other of said bodies preventing the turnmg movement of the band about the finger. In testimony whereof we hereunto affix our signatures.
