Abstract

In a disposable toothbrush for single use, comprising an elegant handle having a fingergrip at one end and a bristle carrying head adjacent the other end of the handle, a plurality of bristles extending transversely to the handle from a base for the bristle defined by the head on top side of the toothbrush, The improvement in which the handle is solid extending along the length of the handle from one end to the other. The bristle head which is supplied with toothpaste is sealed with a plastic product enclosing the bristle head and toothpaste. The seal is made of plastic that will bond to the handle of the toothbrush, and is strong enough to withstand normal wear and tear and remain airtight. The seal has a plastic tab on the bottom side which can be pulled by using a finger and thumb, removing the plastic seal from the bristle head and toothpaste.

Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

This invention relates to a toothbrush having a supply of toothpaste sufficient enough for a single use, hence making it disposable after utilization.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The disposable toothbrush idea is a product that the public will embrace when the product meets the needs and expectations of the consumer. So Far, the toothbrushes designed for this purpose have been too awkward to use to have any significant mass appeal, such as the following U.S. Patents: U.S. Pat. No. 4,850,730, U.S. Pat. No. 4,124,316, and U.S. Pat. No. 5,827,001. And yet, some of the toothbrushes designed require some mechanical application that must be learned by the user, prior to use, such as in the following U.S. Patents: U.S. Pat. No. 4,124,316, U.S. Pat. No. 4,176,980, U.S. Pat. No. 4,521,128, U.S. Pat. No. 5,439,014, U.S. Pat. No. 4,850,730, U.S. Pat. No. 5,827,001, and U.S. Pat. No. 5,599,126. In order to make this product practical, and consumer friendly the toothpaste is factory installed only in the bristle area, and only in the amount required for a single use. Then, once the toothbrush is used it is to be disposed. In all, the end means of this invention is to provide a disposable toothbrush for the consumer, which is ready for use in the simplest form, while eliminating some of the extensive problems other disposable toothbrush designs have confronted.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with this invention, there is a provided disposable toothbrush comprising of an elongated handle having a wide area at one end of the toothbrush, and a bristle carrying head filled with toothpaste at the other narrowed end. The bristle carrying head and the narrow part of the toothbrush handle will be sealed in thin flexible plastic. A plastic tab on the back of the toothbrush is to be pulled off in order to release the plastic seal from the bristle head. This will swiftly expose the bristle head filled with toothpaste, allowing for ready use, and disposable of the toothbrush when finished.

Claims

What is claimed:

1. A combination of a disposable toothbrush and toothpaste comprising of the following:

a) A solid plastic handle from one end to the other.

b) A plurality of bristles extending transversely from the handle to the base, with the bristles bonded into the handle at one end.

c) An ample supply of toothpaste for a single use will be factory installed into the bristle head only.

d) A seal made of plastic material, capable of sealing the bristle head with an ample supply of toothpaste for a single use.

d) The seal, which seals the bristle head and toothpaste to the handle, is air tight.

e) A plastic tab, which is factory installed on the bottom side of the toothbrush, must be capable of being removed by pulling the tab with a thumb and finger while holding the toothbrush with the other hand.
