  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring now to the drawings wherein the showings are for purposes of illustrating preferred embodiments of the present invention only, and not for purposes of limiting the same.
  • FIG. 1 illustrates a multipurpose stereoscopic display shelf consistent with a first preferred embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the multipurpose stereoscopic display shelf comprises two triangular supports 1, each of which defines three corner portions 11 being fixedly disposed with a respective round pipe connection member 12. The display shelf further comprises three round pipe struts 2, a hollow round pipe being closed at its one end and open at its other end and having two symmetric connection slots 121 and 121′ formed on its wall, as shown in FIG. 2. Said connection slot 121, 121′ has through channels 122 and 122′ at its one end. The end portion of the round pipe strut 2 has a diameter slightly smaller than an inner diameter of the hollow round pipe to facilitate insertion thereof. On the outer side of the round pipe strut 2 is placed a strip-shaped iron sheet 21. The ends of the round pipe strut 2 each is arranged with two protrusions 22 and 22′ capable of being coupled with said connection slots 121 and 121′ as well as with through channels 122 and 122′. The connection slots 121 and 121′ as well as the through channels 122 and 122′ are configured such that their openings are of size slightly larger than overall sizes of the protrusions 22 and 22′ to allow passage of said protrusions 22 and 22′ through said connection slots 121 and 121′ as well as said through channels 122 and 122′. The triangular support 1 is fixedly connected with said round pipe struts 2 by inserting said protrusions 22 and 22′ formed on said round pipe struts 2 into said round pipe connection members 12 to be coupled together.
  • The length of the connection slot 121, 121′ and the position of the through channels 122 and 122′ in the hollow round pipe are arranged such that the protrusions 22, 22′ after being inserted and coupled permit the strip-shaped iron sheet 21 to be positioned at the inner side of the triangular support 1.
  • In use, it is to simply place an illuminated picture or miniature reproduction of a painting to be displayed against the outer side of the display shelf with the aid of a magnet which attaches them onto the strip-shaped iron sheet 21. The illuminated picture or the miniature reproduction of a painting may be secured onto the display shelf of the present invention by the force of the magnet if they are situated between the magnet and strip-shaped iron sheet 21.
  • Because the structurally stable triangular support is employed as a base of the display shelf, and a frame structural part is formed by coupling of the structurally simple protrusions with the connection slots, this invention presents the advantages of simple structure, easy installation and extendable combinations, thus providing a good adaptability. Extendable combinations may be made according to the size of the exhibition space and the number of illuminated pictures.
  • Referring now to FIG. 3, a multipurpose stereoscopic display shelf consistent with a second preferred embodiment of the invention is shown. This embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that the multipurpose stereoscopic display shelf further comprises an intermediate triangular support 3 which defines three corner portions 31 being fixedly disposed with a respective intermediate connection member 32 and three additional round pipe struts 2 having two ends each being arranged with two protrusions 22 and 22′ (not shown in FIG. 3).
  • As shown in FIG. 4, the intermediate connection member 32 is a hollow round pipe with two open ends. It is structurally similar to the round pipe connection member 12, but differing in that its two ends have respectively symmetric connection slots 121, 121′ and through channels 122, 122′ (reference is made to one side of the intermediate connection member 32 in FIG. 4). The length of the connection slot 121, 121′ and the position of the through channels 122 and 122′ in the hollow round pipe are arranged such that the protrusions 22, 22′ after being inserted and coupled permit the strip-shaped iron sheet 21 to be perfectly positioned at the inner side of the triangular support 1.
  • Going back to FIG. 3, the display shelf further comprises four connection pipes 4. As shown in the partially enlarged view of FIG. 3, two connection pipes to be connected are respectively at their ends provided with a groove 41 and a block 42 matched with said groove 41 for engagement. The connection pipe 4 and the round pipe connection member 12 are fixedly connected as a whole in a detachable manner through a connection chip 5. The connection chip 5 is a thin piece having connection holes 51 and 52 at its two ends, via which holes said connection chip 5 is screw-connected with one end of the round pipe connection member 12 and with one end of the connection pipe 4 by screws 511, 512, thereby attaining detachable connection of the connection pipe 4 and the triangular support 1. If desired, more than one connection chips may be used.
  • It can be clearly seen from FIG. 5 that the connection pipes 4 are used to connect a plurality of transversal pipes 6 to form one or more frame structural parts to constitute a display shelf of a larger area. As shown in the partially enlarged view of FIG. 5, a screw 43, which projects from the connection pipe 4 towards the transversal pipe 6, may be arranged. The transversal pipe 6 has at least one end with a groove 61 with which the screw 43 is engaged to allow fixed connection of the connection pipe 4 and the transversal pipe 6. Also, the transversal pipe 6 may be connected firmly with other connection pipes 4 in the same way.
  • It is obvious that the intermediate triangular supports 3 is not limited to one only, two or three intermediate triangular supports 3 in combination with round pipe struts 2 corresponding to the number of the intermediate triangular supports 3 may be used if desired.
  • The connection pipe 4 may serve only as a part of the overall height of the extended display shelf. For example, it can be connected simply with the lower half of the round pipe strut 2 to extend and form an “L” shaped display shelf.
  • In this embodiment, a plurality of illuminated picture mounts 62 may be used where desirable. Said mount 62 is a n-shaped elastic film for securing a lamp picture or silk screen printed picture to be used onto the frame structural part or onto the triangular support 1.
  • In this embodiment, the display shelf further comprises a plurality of footholds 7. Said foothold is a flat plate having a connection hole via which said foothold 7 is fixedly connected with the frame structural part in a datable manner. The foothold 7 is provided for maintaining better stability of the display shelf and is thus not limited to the one as shown in FIG. 5.
  • Also included is an angular ruler 71 which is strip-shaped plate member having an alignment slot 711 in its middle portion. The angular ruler 71 has an external configuration at either side of said alignment slot 711 being fitted to an external configuration of one side of said triangular support 1, allowing the user to make angular adjustment in a convenient way at the time of installing the display shelf to achieve a more precise installation position and create a better aesthetic installation effect.
  • Also included is a plurality of film connection members 72 which is a semi-circular thin arc piece with a radian substantially equal to that of the outer circumference of the round pipe connection member 12. In use, the film connection member 72 is first connected to one end of the connection pipe 4 which is then firmly connected with the round pipe connection member 12. The fact that the radian of the film connection member 72 is substantially equal to that of the outer circumference of round pipe connection member 12 facilitates to provide a supplemental guide in installation and allows a more stable connection after the completion of installation.
  • FIG. 6 is a perspective schematic view of the construction of the multipurpose stereoscopic display shelf according to a third preferred embodiment of the invention. This embodiment differs from the above-mentioned embodiments in that a plurality of connection pipes 4 are used to extend and obtain the display shelf of a larger area. It is within the ability of a skilled person in the art to make a display shelf with a desirable display area and/or combination in need in this way.
  • In the third embodiment, a plurality of lighting fixtures 8 are included. Such a lighting fixture 8 includes a light head 81 and a hook member 82 for fixedly attaching the lighting fixture 8 onto the frame structural part or the triangular support 1 in a detachable manner. A light disk 83 having a self-contained transformer may also be included. The inclusion of the lighting fixture 8 allows the display shelf of the invention to achieve a fantabulous lighting effect or to be used directly as an advertisement light box.
  • FIG. 7 illustrates a perspective schematic view of the construction of the multipurpose stereoscopic display shelf according to a fourth preferred embodiment of the invention. This embodiment differs from the above-mentioned embodiments in that it further comprises three trays 91 and three supporting rods 9, at the lower end portion of said supporting rod being provided with a ball partially projecting beyond said end portion (not shown in the figure.). The partially enlarged view of FIG. 7 shows a triangular support 1 beneath the tray 91. At the inner side of the respective corner portions 11 of the triangular support 1 is there a trench 92 which is matched with the ball. The supporting rod 9 is secured between the upper and lower two triangular supports 1 by means of coupling of the ball and the trench 92. Tray supports 93 are arranged respectively on the intermediate portion and at the other end of the supporting rod 9 for supporting the tray 91. The Tray support 93 is used in combination with the tray 91 and their quantities may be changed where desirable. In this embodiment, each supporting rod 9 has three tray supports 93 for use in combination with three trays 91.
  • The combination of the supporting rod 9, the tray support 93 and the tray 91 allows the display shelf of this invention to form as a multi-layer exhibition shelf for displaying articles or objects.
  • Preferably, three supporting rods 9 are arranged such that they are enclosed to lie on a circular line and the trays 91 are round-shaped, thereby to form an exhibition shelf for displaying articles or objects with each side thereof presenting a good appearance.
  • In the invention, two or more triangular supports in combination with frame structural parts corresponding to the number of the triangular supports may be employed to constitute a multipurpose stereoscopic display shelf in need, depending on the exhibition space and the articles or objects to be displayed. Lighting fixtures, trays and the like may be mounted, if desirable, to form a display shelf for displaying “ink jet poster or silk screen poster” and “physical object” or for use as an “advertisement lamp housing”. The invention is structurally and operatively simple so that the cost for fabricating a display shelf is rather inexpensive without the need of a specialized worker. Therefore, the invention is useful in a wide variety of applications and provides a convenience to use.
  • Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, it is stated that insofar as its basic principle is not altered, changed or modified it may be subjected to variations of detail. Numerous variations and modifications that are easily obtainable by means of the skilled person's common knowledge without departing from the scope of the invention should fall into the scope of this invention.
