Description

    BACKGROUND
  • This model belongs to the technical field of products for buccal hygiene, more particularly to a device applied in the toothbrush with disposable bristles and toothpaste injector reservoir, which is designed to combine the toothbrush with the toothpaste in one single product, as well as the gradual dispensing of toothpaste in the bristles.
  • The buccal hygiene is necessary for the people to maintain the health of their teeth and their mouth, and brushing is the best way to prevent caries, gingivitis, periodontics and other problems, besides helping to prevent bad breath (halitosis).
  • According to the History, the oldest most known toothbrush is dated of thousand years and it was known as “chew stick”. That toothbrush was made through the chewing or kneading of small sprouts or tree roots till its fibers, in one of the ends, got enough loose to form a rustic brush.
  • In 1780 the English gave the world their first new modern brush. The handle was made of bone and the bristles were made of pig hair, which were tied into drilled holes.
  • Nowadays there are several toothbrush models, sizes and shapes. These models are manufactured in several different types of materials and designs, they are tailor and anatomic made. Both the handles and the bristles, have gone trough constant development to better meet the users' needs, as well as to outstand the differences of the competitive products.
  • Likewise the toothbrushes the toothpastes also go through developments. The toothpastes are essential for good hygiene of the mouth. These pastes are stored in tubes or packages sold separately from the toothbrush, and have an infinite number of flavors and components to please the taste and the treatments of the users.
  • The use of these products for toothbrushing is made through the dispensing of toothpaste onto the bristles of the brush. This system works well at home, however, a different toothpaste type is required for each user or one type of toothpaste is used by everybody.
  • In the office or in travels this system does not work so well because either the products usually occupy some space or one of the products is usually forgotten.
  • SUMMARY
  • The model herein was designed to differentiate and improve the toothbrushing procedure providing easiness and comfort. It presents solutions for the integration of the products, the toothbrush and the toothpaste, in one single product, giving the user the chance to choose the toothpaste individually, without occupying much space in the bathroom cabinet or on the sink; it is handy to take to work or on a trip; the cartridge enables one to save since only the head with the bristles need to be replaced, not the complete set as it is usually done today; therefore making the supply of toothpaste on the bristles a fast and easy act.
  • The device applied in the toothbrush with disposable bristles and injector of toothpaste reservoir was developed with a modern and advanced design; it consists of an anatomic handle, made preferentially of injected plastic, but it can also be made of noble metals such as: gold, silver, among others. The handle is formed by a hollow structure, containing a protective cover and a disposable head with bristles, which can be periodically replaced. The handle houses the cartridge with toothpaste, which can be disposable after the cream has finished, and in the end where the paste comes out, a check valve is placed to make the toothpaste be passed on the bristles, and prevents against backflow or any water spill on the cartridge. The toothbrush also has a snap-on cap which covers the bristles thus providing more hygiene to the toothbrush.
  • The procedure is simple and practical; first you open the protective cover, press in the cartridge till there is enough injection of toothpaste on the bristles, then close the cover and that's it, the toothbrush is ready for brushing.
  • Therefore, besides facilitating the preparation for tooth brushing it is a product totally anatomic, modem and practical. It can be transported to any place without any leakage or hygienic problems.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • The objectives, advantages and other important characteristics of this model herein may be more easily understood if read together with the figures enclosed herein which explain the following:
  • FIG. 01 shows a perspective view of the device applied in the toothbrush with disposable bristles and injector of toothpaste reservoir.
  • FIG. 02 shows a perspective view of the protective cover of the device applied in the toothbrush with disposable bristles and injector of toothpaste reservoir.
  • FIG. 03 shows a perspective view with the protective cover of the device applied in the toothbrush with disposable bristles and injector of toothpaste reservoir.
  • FIG. 04 shows an exploded view of the device applied in the toothbrush with disposable bristles and injector of toothpaste reservoir.
  • FIG. 05 shows a perspective view of the head with the bristles of the device applied in the toothbrush with disposable bristles and injector of toothpaste reservoir.
  • FIG. 06 shows a view with detail of the placement or removal of the head with the bristles in the anatomic handle of the device applied in the toothbrush with disposable bristles and injector of toothpaste reservoir.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION

  • The anatomical handle (2) has a chamber (2A), which is closed by a protective cover (2B), that is tightly fitted in the lowered edges (2C) and (2D); inside the chamber (2A), there is a channel (2A1), which goes through the thick part (2E), and gets out in the front (2F), where the pointed tips (2G) are found, each having a pathfinder (2H), an embossed line (2I), and a lock (2J).
  • The removable head (3) has a semi-oblong shape, and bristles on the upper part (4), and in the lower part it has two grooves (3A), inside one of them there is a horizontal carved line (3B), and perpendicularly a small groove (3C); between the two grooves (3A), there is a central body (3D), containing an internal channel (3E), which meets a central and perpendicular channel (3F), over which there is a small check valve (3G), with openings (3H) in “X” shape, which is symmetrically placed in the center of the upper base (3I).
  • The bristles (4) may have different textures such as soft, medium or stiff and have different designs. The removable head (3) can be replaced periodically.
  • The cartridge (5) has a cylindrical shape and has a carved surface (5A) to lock the interior chamber (2A) and a cylindrical nozzle (5B), to fit in the check valve (6).
  • The cartridge (5) can store toothpastes of any flavor to refresh the mouth, and can also be made of formulae proper to improve the tooth treatment.
  • The snap-on cap (7) is divided into an upper part (7A) and a lower part (7B), both joined by a hinge (7C) and closed by a snap (7D); inside both parts there is a restrainer (7E), and in the external part of the upper part (7A), there is a clamp (7F).
