While but one form of the invention is shown in the drawing, it is not desired to limit this application for patent to this particular construction, otherwise than limited by the prior art, as it is appreciated that other forms might be made that would use the same principles and come within the scope of the appended claims. Having thus described the invention, what is claimed 1. In a toothbrush structure,'the combination of a hollow toothbrush head arranged for the extrusion of dentifrice therethrough, a barrel arranged for holding the brush head vwith a dentifrice passage in registry with the hollow portion of the head, said barrel having a boss \ex tending into the interior of the barrel and adapted to hold the neck Yof a dentifrice tube in registry with the said passage for extrusion of its contents therethrough to the brush, said connecting portions of the barrel with the brush and the tube having an intervening passage for providing for the predetermined ow of the dentifrice stream, a thimble fitting on the barrel having a cylindrical plunger insertable and operable in the barrel and slightly smaller in crosssection than that of a d ntitrice tube placed therein and spaced away om the walls of the barrel to permit the tubeto spread out conveniently when collapsed by the pressure of the plunger thereon and to upset the tube on the boss when the collapsing portions approach said boss.

In a toothbrush structure of the class described, the combination of a removable toothbrush head with an oil'set shank having a dentifrice passage therethrough to the bristles of the brush, a hollow barrel having a conical head portion arranged with an enlarged orice projecting exteriorly for receiving andfholding the said shank and with an interiorly projecting boss with an enlarged orifice for receiving andholding the neck of dentifrice'tube vand with a narrow intervening passage in between the said enlarged orices for providing a predetermined forming of Athe dentifrice therethrough, the interior of the barrel adjacent to the boss being converged'around about same and spaced therefrom and adapted to provide an upsetting space for the tube to collapse in near the end of its collapsing, a thimble adjustably mounted on the exterior of the barrel having an internal plunger therein of cylindrical form and adapted to contact the-rear of a dentifrice tube placed in the barrel and spaced from the walls thereof to permit the tube to be collapsed and widened therein, and means on the barrel for denitely limiting the travel of the thimble on the'barrel.
