Claims. 1

This invention relates to improvements in a combined package of toilet articles for oral usage, and more particularly it relates to a package of toilet articles individually combined for specific uses in a novel compact ensemble capable of being dispensed by vending machines in convenient locations.

It is a common experience of individuals to have need of disposable aids to oral hygiene which may be used once and then discarded.

-It is an object of this invention to provide a unitary disposable ensemble of toilet articles for oral use wherein articles are grouped in combination for specific usage and are grouped in their entirety to form a combination which facilitates handling and compact packaging.

It is a further object of this invention to pro vide a special inexpensive pocket size package of toilet articles which can be commonly obtained from vending machines and sales counters in public places and which is adapted to be discarded after a single usage.

These and other objects of the invention are attained by the units and the combination thereof described in the following specification and illustrated in the accompanying drawings forming a part thereof, wherein:

Having reference to the accompanying drawings, I represents a conventional box structure protecting and housing a sealed flexible-walled container 2 of glassine paper, cellophane, or other suitable material, preferably transparent or translucent. The container as illustrated is of ordinary envelope form, sealed at one end by flap 3, and including therewithin a unitary assembly of separate toilet articles in combination.

The unitary assembly consists of a piece of folded fabric 4 such as terry cloth or the like and an associated small bag or container 5 containing a dentifrice 6, said container being sealed and preferably fixed to the fabric 4 closely adjacent one end edge thereof by a staple l. A collapsible paper cup 8 has flxed thereto and adjacent the upper edge thereof a waterproof carrier 9 of Pliofilm or other impervious material containing therewithin a suitable antiseptic it. The carrier 9 is preferably attached by stapling adjacent the edge of the paper cup in such manner as to permit the main body of the carrier II] to extend downwardly between collapsed walls of the paper cup so that the antiseptic is in effect housed and protected by the sides of the cup. The cup and the associated antiseptic carrier are combined in the package with the fabric and associated dentifrice container by positioning the end of fabric 4 adjacent the top of cup 8 with the appended dent-riflce container 5 depending within the mouth of the cup between the side walls thereof, and'folding the other end of fabric 4 around the base of the cup. These units are further combined with a piece of dental floss H suitably trained around the cup and fabric, said dental floss having an end passing free of the group of toilet articles for sealing in the corner of envelope' '3 in such position that the envelope may be opened by utilizing the extending free end of the dental floss as a tearing strip to rip open the envelope. The articles described constitute a combined group Q bundle for insertion within the protecting envelope 3' which is adapted to be sealed with a short end portion of the dental floss extending outwardly from one corner thereof. The arrangement is such that the dental floss is anchored at its inner end by being twined around the combined group of articles and such anchorage serves as a binder for the article group, so that when a user has occasion to open the sealed package 3, the initial pull on the extending end portion of dental floss will rip open the package, and a continued pull on the dental floss will serve as an initial lift for the group of articles within the package in removing them therefrom. After the articles are initially lifted, the upper end of the fabric l may be grasped by the fingers. By reason of the fabric being folded around the lower end of cup 6, the entire ensemble of articles may be removed from the envelope by pulling fabric 4.

The folded fabric sheet with its appended dentrifice container provides a sanitary disposable cleaner which may be used in conjunction with the dentrifice for cleaning the teeth, it being only necessary to sever the dentriflce carrier from the fabric and open it for access to the 'dentrifice therein.

The paper cup provides a sanitary container in which an antiseptic solution may be mixed by adding water to the contents of the appended antiseptic container. Until used, the cup and antiseptic remain together in combination.

The dental floss afiords its own functional use.

Thus there is provided in a compact unitary package all of the requirements for complete oral hygiene. While the sealed envelope is capable of being handled and sold as a unit, it is preferably housed within the conventional box I for further protection and to facilitate handling in certain types of vending machines.

While the invention has been described in connection with a preferred embodiment thereof, the words used are those of description rather than limitation and changes within the purview of the appended claims are contemplated without departing from the true scope and spirit of the invention.

I claim:

l. A sanitary package of the character described for oral hygiene comprising a wrapper, means including a receptacle and a supply of antiseptic therein for mouth wash purposes, means including a fabric cleaner having a dentifrice associated therewith for cleaning the teeth, and a piece of dental floss wrapped around said first and second mentioned means combining said means in a unitary assembly within said wrapper, said dental floss having one free end disposed'on the outside of the wrapper whereby the wrapper may be opened by using the exposed dental floss end as a rip cord.

2. In a sanitary package of the character described, an enclosure, a waterproof collapsible container, an individual package of antiseptic disposed between walls of the container, a fabric cleaning element, a package of dentifrice fixed to one end of said element and disposed within the open mouth of the container, said cleaning element extending around one end of the container,

and a binder of dental floss holding said cleaning elements and receptacle combinations together and extending with a free end outside the enclosure.

In a sanitary package of the character described, a sealed transparent or translucent enclosure, a flexible collapsible container, an individual carrier of antiseptic fixed to the container at its open end and suspended within the container, a fabric cleaning element, a package of dentifrice fixed to one end of said element and disposed within the mouth of said container, and a binder of dental floss holding said cleaning elements and container combinations together and extending with a free end outside of the enclosure to serve as a rip cord for the enclosure, said binder of dental floss being so disposed and fixed to the contents of the enclosure that the contents of the enclosure may be extracted therefrom by additional tension applied to the dental floss.

A sanitary combined package of the character described comprising a fabric cleaner, a miniature dentifrice package fixed to the fabric adjacent one edge thereof, a collapsible receptacle, a miniature carrier of antiseptic fixed to said receptacle adjacent th open end and suspended between the walls of the receptacle, said fabric being disposed around said receptacle with the dentifrice package extending within the receptacle and suspended'between walls thereof, a binder of dental floss twined around the receptacle and fabric, a sealed enclosure for said articles, said enclosure having the free end of said dental floss extending through one sealed end to afford a rip cord for the enclosure.

In combination, an enclosure, a flexible receptacle having an individual carrier of antiseptic detachably associated therewith and disposed within the mouth of the receptacle, a fabric cleaner having an independent package of dentifrice detachably fixed at one end of the fabric, said fabric being turned around one end of said receptacle and abutting one wall thereof, a binder of dental floss binding said fabric cleaner and receptacle combinations together, and said binder having one free end extending through a sealed area of the enclosure to serve as a rip cord for the enclosure to open the same.
