To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CLARA T. HILLMAN, citizen of the United States of America, residing at Rochester, in the county ,of Beaver and State Of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements -in- Tooth-Brushes, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to t e accompanying drawing.

This invention relates to certain new and usefulimprovements in tooth brushes.

The construct-ion particularly .contemplated lin my invention is adapted for use in I connection with dental' plates wherein it is necessary in cleaning the same, to reach every corner and crevice thereof.

In furtherance of the above function, my invention comprises a construction which is of peculiar contour and arrangement, so designed. that it will readily enter any part-Of the late.

T e detailed construction will appear in the course of the following description, in which reference is had to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification, like numerals indicating like parts throughout the several views,l in which Figure 1, is a top plan view Of my improved brush, Fig. 2, is a side elevation thereof, and Fig. 3, is a transverse section on the line 3 3 of Fig. 1.

The brush proper embodies a handle 1,v

apertured at one end as at 2,' to receive a supporting hook, and having its other end bent at an. angle into `a substantial arcshaped curvature, as at 3. The bent end is thus formed on each side with an inner and an Outer arc-shaped periphery upon which are mounted series of laterally projecting bristles 4 and 5 respectively. These bristles are continuous from the inner eriphery of the end 3 aboutI the extremity tliereof, as at 7, and along the outer periphery of said end,

vthereby forming a continuous line of laterally extending bristles. In addition thereto, I have formed upon the underneath surface of the end 3, a series of downwardly projecting bristles 6, which coact in the cleaning operation, with the bristles 4, 5 and 7 above referred to.

In practical use the underneath bristles 6 will clean the face of the plate, and the bristles 4 and 5, as well as the bristles'7 upon the endV of the brush, will clean the sides and crevices' thereof between the teeth, simultaneously with the cleaning of the face of the plate by the bristles 6.

Having fully described my invention, I

claimz- A tooth brush having a straight handle member terminating at One end in a laterallyextending arc-shaped elliptical portion the extremity of which is rounded, said arc `shaped end provided with bristles projecting radially from three sides and from Vthe rounded extremity thereof.
