Abstract

Toothbrush

The invention relates to a toothbrush that has notable advantages over those already known.

These brushes are generally constituted by a handle that extends to form a sack in which they are attached, perpendicularly to it, a few bundles of bristles that form a thick set with which the teeth are rubbed, for cleaning, prior spread with toothpaste that is packed in separate tubes. This means that, apart from the inconvenience of always having to have a tube of toothpaste together with the brush, the proper constitution of the same by inserting the bristles in the handle makes it somewhat expensive to manufacture. These drawbacks are exacerbated in their use, especially in cases where the user travels frequently, since to the trouble of having to unclog the tube of toothpaste and spread the brush head, we must add the need for Clean the brush every time it is used for obvious hygiene needs, in addition to having to be aware of it if it is damaged or _ of the toothpaste tube in case it runs out, so as not to remain at the most unthinkable moment without paste or brush With what to clean the teeth. With the brush object of this invention, these drawbacks and others that may be derived from them are solved since, although the handle is similar to those already existing, the toothpaste is incorporated, conveniently dehydrated or dried, in the head cleaner, which is formed by spikes of the same material as the handle and that are born from the widening of the same, forming with it a single non-removable piece that It can be manufactured with plastic material in a single injected, which will result in a low-cost brush that can be discarded once used.

This circumstance will allow the toilets of certain places, such as hotel establishments or schools, to be provided with these brushes to be available to users such as soaps or towels, allowing, for example, the person traveling , not having to worry about carrying the usual brush and toothpaste, with the easements that this entails.

Advantageously, the cleaning head can also be formed with a mass of spongy or fibrous material, natural or artificial, of adequate texture and rigidity to act against the teeth and containing the toothpaste which, in this case, must be very fluid and easily evaporable in its liquid part so that, once absorbed by the head, it dries quickly and allows its subsequent packaging. This head, not being of the same material as the handle, will be attached to it by introducing it into an opening that will comprise the broadening of the handle to which it will be attached by means of a placket which, provided with fixing means in the handle, will imprison to the head by some extensions of the same coupled in corresponding lace of the widening, avoiding other types of assemblies that would need some machining that would make the brush more expensive.

Likewise, and with this latest version of the head, higher quality handles can also be made, with only the head being disposable and, therefore, recoverable, said head also being able to be attached to the fastening placket.

The head can also be fixed to the widening of the handle by adhesive or suitable gluing, as can also be welded to it according to the material with which it is manufactured.

It has also been foreseen that the brush has the dentifrice incorporated in its cleaning head without dehydrating or drying out, said head being constituted with a mass of spongy or fibrous material that contains absorbed dichor.dentifrico and has an ideal constitution in the area of action against teeth. In addition, the brush can be structurally simplified to further reduce its already low cost, by presenting its handle, in the extreme area comprising the cleaning head, two longitudinal branches as a fork, between which said head is arranged by its area opposite to that of acting against the teeth, being held in said branches with the coupling in them of a placket through a longitudinal groove thereof with which it slides, conveniently guided, on said branches. Advantageously, the respective inner and faced sides of the aforementioned extreme branches of the handle have their edges closer to the active part of the cleaning head leaving a narrower passage to better imprison said head when it is attached with the coupling of the placket Between the mango branches.

According to such figures, the illustrated toothbrush consists of a uri handle 1 which extends to form a widening 2 in which the cleaning head is located.

This cleaning head can have several versions, one of them (see figure 1) is constituted with cylindrical-conical tines 3 that are born from the widening 2, and perpendicularly to it, the toothpaste p, of adequate adhesion and viscosity so that, after the tines 3 have been wetted in a bath of said paste, they have left the same with 4 drops attached, which will subsequently be dehydrated or dried so that the brush can be handled in operations such as packing .

A placket 10 holds the head 5 in the broadening 2 by its housing in the opening 8 under said head 5, introducing protrusions 11 comprising said placket 10 on the two opposite longer sides, and by pressure on it, in corresponding lace 12 of the opening 8.

It follows from all this that, to the brush, both with these described heads and with any other, the toothpaste will be rehydrated by contacting the user's saliva when he is going to use it, or will also do so by previously wetting it in water before its use.

According to Figures 5 to 8, the illustrated toothbrush consists of the handle 1, one of whose ends is topped with two longitudinal branches 13 as a fork that receive the coupling between them of the cleaning head 5 '.

This cleaning head 5 'is constituted by a sheet 14 (see figure 5) of spongy or fibrous material having two more compact upper and lower layers 14' to prevent the unhydrated toothpaste p 'introduced into said head from leaving it. , before application against teeth.

This sheet 14 has its central part with a finish as a transverse teeth 6 'for its action on the teeth, said sheet 14 also presenting longitudinally to the teeth 6', two appendages 15 on opposite sides. The assembly of the branches 13 and the placket 10 ', once coupled thereto, has the same width and height as the rest of the handle, which comprises on its upper and lower faces two intermediate longitudinal recesses 18 for the removal of material which, together with the structural simplicity of the brush, make it very economical and usable for a single use, which can be served to the user in a convenient and properly sealed packaging.

The object of the invention, within its essentiality, can be carried out in other embodiments that differ only in detail from those indicated only by way of example, which will also reach the protection that is collected.

Claims

1.- Toothbrush, of the type constituted by a handle that extends to form a widening comprising the cleaning head that is applied against the teeth, essentially characterized in that said cleaning head is incorporated, conveniently dehydrated or dried, the toothpaste relevant (p), which will rehydrate with the contact of the user's saliva or by a prior wetting of the head before application against the teeth.

Toothbrush, according to claim 1, characterized in that the cleaning head is constituted with a set of barbs (3) in which it is attached, and dehydrated or dried, the dentrophic (p) and which are same material as the handle (1), from whose widening (2), and perpendicularly to it, they are born, forming with said handle (1) a single piece.

4.- Toothbrush, according to claims 1 and 3, characterized in that the cleaning head is attached to the clamp plate (10).

5.- Toothbrush, according to claim 3, characterized in that the cleaning head (5 ¹ ) constituted with a mass made of spongy or fibrous material, it contains the relevant dentifrice (p ¹ ) absorbed without dehydration or desiccation and has an ideal constitution in its area of action against teeth.

Toothbrush, according to claim 5, characterized in that the end zone of the handle (1) comprising the cleaning head (5 ') is constituted by two longitudinal branches (13) as a fork, between which the aforementioned head (5 ¹ ) is arranged in the area (5 'a) opposite to that applied against the teeth, securing the same with a placket (10 ¹ ) that has a longitudinal groove (16) of constituting ¬ tion suitable for coupling and guiding on the aforementioned extreme branches (13) of the handle (1), which will externally present a constitution in correspondence with that of the aforementioned groove (16).
