Abstract

A toothbrush includes a short arm (5) having bristles (1) on one end and the opposite end connected to a receptacle (8) containing toothpaste. The bottom end of the arm (5) includes a connector (7) leading from a departure hole (10) at the upper base (9) of the receptacle (8) to the brush (1). Toothpaste leaves the receptacle (8) through the departure hole (10) into a channel along the arm (5) and up to a spring-like push-button (6) located on the arm (5). Squeezing the push-button (6) allows paste to flow through the channel (3) and through two short flexible pipes (2) and up into the bristles (1). The brush (1) may also include a transparent cover (13) thereon. The receptable (8) is shaped as an easy, comfortable handle for use. When the receptable (8) is out of paste, it may be readily replaced with a new one.

Description

A TOOTHBRUSH WITH TOOTHPASTE LOADED INSIDE IT, FOR REUSE.
TECHNICAL FIELD
The current invention refers to a toothbrush, toothpaste and their joint usage, and more specifically, a toothbrush with toothpaste loaded inside it.
BACKGROUND ART
Nowadays, daily-use toothbrushes require the customer to actively spread a toothpaste on it. Toothpastes are mostly sold in plastic tubes or in hard plastic receptacles. In every modern home, for the most part, there are toothbrushes for each and every member of the family, and shared toothpaste for all. In order to brush one's teeth, one should first spread the toothpaste on the toothbrush.
The abovemetioned way of brushing one's teeth, which is common to every humanbeing in modern society, has a few shortcomings, they are as follows:
1. Since one should spread the toothpaste from the tube onto the toothbrush, there always is some dry toothpaste left around the cap area.
2. Toothpastes offered to the public include a wide variety of flavors, qualities and colors. As previously mentioned, in spite of the fact that each member of the family owns a personal toothbrush, they all usually share the same toothpaste. So, if members of a family possess different tastes, some of them will have to compromise regarding the type of toothpaste they will use.
3. The shared toothpaste among all users makes it impersonal. Therefore, due to hygienic considerations, many people squeeze a bit of toothpaste before spreading it on the toothbrush.
4. Brashing ones' teeth requires the use of two different products, simultaneously - a toothbrush and toothpaste.
5. At the end of use, the toothbrush is placed alongside the other members' toothbrushes, with no possibility of preventing contact between them. Some will regard this fact as a major hygienic shortcoming.
6. Squeezing the tube and spreading the paste on the toothbrush, though seemingly a rather simple task for ordinary people, is regarded as a difficult and complicated one for the elderly, children and those who suffer from fine-motor disabilities.
The current invention provides an appropriate solution for the shortcomings mentioned above. DICLOSURE OF INVENTION
The invention involves a personal toothbrush, which is built upon a receptacle comprising personal toothpaste from which the toothpaste comes out onto the brush, in the area of the bristles. The receptacle will be made of hard plastic, and will serve as an attractively designed and comfortable handle. The toothbrush will include a regular set of bristles, and a short arm with a screwable connector. A spring-like push-button will be placed along the arm, with a "channel". The short arm will be screwed to the receptacle through the connector.
The receptacle's description
A disposable, cylindrical, receptacle made out of hard plastic, which contains toothpaste. Its bottom base is hard, with a round hole at the center of its upper base (hereinafter: "round hole"). The diameter of the round hole is identical to that of the "channel" on the arm, and is made out of very thin plastic. While screwing the arm to the receptacle through the connector, the channel at the arm will puncture the round hole and will allow the flow of the paste towards the arm.
** The apparatus that squeezes the paste out of the receptacle is well established, and is not regarded as part of the invention.
The brush's operation
While squeezing the spring-like push-button, the paste will go out of the receptacle through the channel, up to the bristles' area of the brush where the channel will spilt into two, and the paste will get to the bristles from both ends of the channel. The flow of the paste will stop as soon as the user stops pushing the push-button. This will allow full control of the paste's quantity, according to the user's needs.
Short pipes made of silicone (or any other soft and flexible material) will be attached to both of the channel's holes, in order to prevent drying of the paste and stimulation of the teeth. The brush would be sealed with a transparent cover made of plastic, that would be attached to the connector.
When the receptacle is out of paste, it will be possible to replace it with a new one, which will contain the same or any other kind of paste. The invention's advantages:
1. The invention will allow the user to use a different kind of paste (personal), according to his taste and preference, without being limited by other family members' preferences.
2. Due to the diameter of the receptacle, (about three cm.) and the cover on top of it, there would be no contact between the family members' toothbrushes. This fact will allow a high degree of hygiene.
3. Due to the diameter of the receptacle, the brush will be placed on its bottom base, with no need for any special device in order to make it stand on its own.
4. Being thicker than an ordinary toothbrush, the receptacle will serve as a very comfortable handle, which will fit, almost perfectly, to the size of the palm. The receptacle could be fashioned into any shape, even a shape of a favorite children's character or a shape that perfectly suits the palm of each and every one, including disabled people, especially those with fine-motor disabilities.
5. The invention allows adding paste while brushing, according to the user's needs.
6. The short silicone pipes will prevent the paste from drying up and will allow free flow of the paste to the bristles.
7. The main advantage of the invention lies in the fact that it includes "two products in one" and in its comfortable and easy usage.
8. The invention will turn the usage of the tube and spreading of the paste on the brush, into an easier task for the elderly, children and those with fine-motor disabilities.
ADDITIONAL USAGE OF THE INVENTION:
The invention could be applied not only to toothbrushes but also to all kinds of hair preparations, which will flow through the brush's arm onto its bristles. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS:

Claims

1. Toothbrush with toothpaste loaded inside it, for re-use. A toothbrush with a short arm connected to a receptacle containing toothpaste. Connecting the brush to the receptacle through a connector located at the bottom end of the arm, will lead to an opening of a departure hole at the upper base of the receptacle. The paste will leave the receptacle through the departure hole onto a channel along the arm, up to a spring-like push-button, located on the arm. Squeezing the push-button will allow the paste to flow through the channel, up to the bristles, where it will flow through two short pipes made out of flexible material. The brush could be sealed with a transparent plastic cover. The receptacle will be shaped as an easy, comfortable handle for use.
2. A toothbrush with toothpaste loaded inside it, for reuse, in accordance with the above invention's description and the drawings that follow.
The paste's way of departure out of the receptacle is not part of the invention.
3. A hairbrush with all types of hair preparations loaded inside it, for reuse, employing the same principle concerning toothbrush with toothpaste loaded inside it, as mentioned in article-1 above.
