Description

Description TOOTHBRUSH WITH A BUILT-IN TOOTHPASTE
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a toothbrush with built-in toothpaste, and more particularly, to a toothbrush with built-in toothpaste for easily squeezing the built-in toothpaste to provide users with convenience. Background Art
[2] In order to brush one's teeth, it is necessary to squeeze a required amount of toothpaste from a container and then dispense it on a toothbrush.
[3] Since a conventional toothbrush does not include toothpaste, the toothbrush and a toothpaste tube are respectively required for toothbrushing. Especially, it is inconvenient to carry out a toothbrush and toothpaste together during a trip or in an outing.
[4] In addition, it is unhealthy or unpleasant to use thetoothpaste of hotels or public baths.
[5] To address these problems, various toothbrushes with built-in toothpaste have been developed. For example, as illustrated in FIG. 7, a toothbrush includes a toothbrush handle 200 with built-in toothpaste, a cap 300 disposed at one side of the toothbrush handle 200 and including a rotation rod 310 inserted into the toothbrush handle 200, and a plunger 320 moving along the rotation rod 310.
[6] The toothpaste can be dispensed through a hole of a toothbrush head 100 including bristles by rotating or pushing the cap 300 inwardly. Therefore, it is possible to brush one's teeth without a separate toothpaste tube.
[7] However, it is not sanitary thatthe hole of the toothbrush head 100 is exposed to outside air and the toothpaste is in contact with the rotation bar 310. In addition, when the toothbrush is not in use for a certain amount of time the toothpaste dries and becomes useless.
[8] Furthermore, since it is very difficult to seal the plunger 320, when the plunger 320 moves, the toothpaste can leak from the toothbrush handle 200. Disclosure of Invention

[18] FIG. 7 is a sectional view illustrating a related art toothbrush with built-in toothpaste. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[19] Hereinafter, a toothbrush with built-in toothpaste according to the present invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing.
[20] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a toothbrush with built-in toothpaste according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view illustrating a toothbrush with built-in toothpaste according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 3 is a sectional view illustrating a toothbrush in which toothpaste is filled according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 4 is a sectional view illustrating a toothbrush including a pressure member extended by the movement of a pressure frame according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG.5 is a perspective view illustrating a retracted pressure member according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 6 is a perspective view illustrating an extended pressure member according to an embodiment of the present invention.
[21] Referring to FIGs. 1 through 6, the toothbrush with built-in toothpaste according to the present invention includes a toothbrush head 10 having a toothpaste-dispensing hole 16 and a plurality of bristles 12, a toothbrush handle 20 connected to the toothbrush head 10 and including a toothpaste tube 25, and a pressure member for pressing the toothpaste tube 25 in the toothbrush handle 20 to dispense the toothpaste through the toothpaste-dispensing hole 16.
[22] The pressure member may include a rotation cap 30, a connection frame 34, and a pressure frame 38. While the torque caused by the rotation of the rotation cap 30 is transmitted through the connection frame 34 to the pressure frame 38, the pressure frame 30 proceeds along an inner surface of the toothbrush handle 20 to press the toothpaste tube 25.
[23] A coupling rib 33 having a predetermined height is disposed on the inner surface of the rotation cap 30 so as to be inserted into an fitting groove 22 disposed on a corresponding side of the toothbrush handle 20. A guide rod 31 having a predetermined length extends from the rotation cap 30. First guide protrusions 32 correspond to each other and extend from an end portion of the outer surface of the guide rod 31.
[24] The connection frame 34 is hollow so that the guide rod 31 of the rotation cap 30 is inserted into the connection frame 34. First guide slots 35 for guiding the first guide protrusions 32 are disposed in the outer surface of the connection frame 34 in a longitudinal direction. Second guide protrusions 36 correspond to each other and extend from an end portion of the outer surface of the connection frame 34.
[25] In addition, the pressure frame 38 has a room such that the connection frame 34 is inserted into the pressure frame 38. Second guide slots 39 for guiding the second guide protrusions 36 are disposed in the outer surface of the pressure frame 38 in a longitudinal direction. A thread disposed in one side of the outer surface of the pressure frame 38 has the same pitch as that of a thread disposed in the inner surface of the toothbrush handle 20 so as to engage with the thread of the toothbrush handle 20.
[26] Since an end portion of the pressure frame 38 contacts and presses the toothpaste tube 25, the end portion may be closed.
[27] Therefore, when user rotates the rotation cap 30 to dispense toothpaste included in the toothpaste tube 25 through the toothpaste-dispensing hole 16, the connection frame 34 is rotated by engaging with the rotation cap 30 with the first guide protrusions 32 of the guide rod 31 being inserted in the first guide slots 35 of the connection frame 34, and then the pressure frame 38 is rotated with the second guide protrusions 36 of the connection frame 34 being inserted in the second guide slots 39 of the pressure frame 38.
[28] In here, since the thread of the pressure frame 38 engages with the thread of the toothbrush handle 20, when the rotation cap 30 is rotated, the pressure frame 38 proceeds toward the toothbrush head 10, thereby pressing the toothpaste tube 25.
[29] A sliding door 18 may be further disposed on the toothpaste-dispensing hole 16, which slides to open or close the toothpaste-dispensing hole 16. Protrusions (not shown) are disposed on both sides of the sliding door 18 so as to prevent the sliding door 18 from moving of itself. A couplingprotrusion (not shown) having interference with the protrusions may be disposed on the path of the sliding door 18 of the toothbrush head 10 defining the toothpaste dispensing hole 16.
[30] Meanwhile, an end portion of the toothbrush head 10 may have a tapered shape. A thread 13 may be disposed in the end portion of the toothbrush head 10 so as to engage with the thread of the toothbrush handle 20. A protruded rib 14 having a predetermined height may be spaced apart from the thread 13 such that an opening of the toothpaste tube 25 is fitted on the toothbrush head 10.
[31] In addition, the opening of the toothpaste tube 25 may include a resilient rubber ring
26 sticking to the protruded rib 14 so as to prevent the leak of the toothpaste included in the toothpaste tube 25. [32] That is, even when the pressure frame 38 proceeds, thereby pressing the toothpaste tube, the toothpaste in the toothpaste tube 25 is not squeezed out between the toothbrush head 10 and the toothpaste tube 25.
[33] In the operation and effects of the present invention, when the toothpaste tube 25 is filled with the toothpaste, the connection frame 34 is inserted into the pressure frame 38 and the guide rod 31 is inserted into the connection frame 34. The rotation cap 30, which is integrally formed with the guide rod 31, is fitted on the fitting groove 22 of the toothbrush handle 20.
[34] In here, when the rotation cap 30 is rotated, the guide rod 31 is also rotated, and then the connection frame 34 is rotated by the first guide protrusion 32 of the guide rod 31 inserted into the first guide slots 35 of the connection frame 34. Thereafter, the pressure frame 38 is rotated by the second guide protrusion 36 of the connection frame 34 inserted into the second guide slots 39 of the pressure frame 38.
[35] Since the pressure frame 38 engages with the inner surface of the toothbrush handle
20 using the threads, when rotated, the pressure frame 38 proceeds toward the toothbrush head 10, thereby pressing the toothpaste tube 25. As a result, the toothpaste is dispensed to the bristles 12 through the toothpaste dispensing hole 16 of the toothbrush head 10.
[36] The sliding door 18 for preventing the toothpaste from being dispensed is disposed on the upper portion of the toothpaste dispensing hole 16. When the sliding door 18 slides open, the rotating cap 30 is rotated to dispense the toothpaste through the toothpaste-dispensing hole 16.
[37] After dispensing as much toothpaste as user wants, he/she brushes his/her teeth.
After toothbrushing, the upper portion of the toothpaste-dispensing hole 16 is covered with the sliding door 18, thereby preventing the toothpaste from going hard.
[38] Meanwhile, if it were not for the toothpaste in the toothpaste tube 25, the toothpaste tube 25 can be replaced after isolating the toothbrush head 10 from the toothbrush handle 20. In the case where the toothpaste tube 25 is not replaced, the conventional toothpaste can be injected into the toothpaste tube 25 through the toothpaste- dispensing hole 16. To easily inject the conventional toothpaste into the toothpaste tube 25 through the toothpaste-dispensing hole 16, an additional toothpaste dispenser (not shown) can be used. An end portion of the toothpaste dispenser engages with the opening of the conventional toothpaste using its thread, and the other end portion is forcibly inserted into the toothpaste-dispensing hole 16. Industrial Applicability
[39] As described above, according to the present invention, a toothbrush with built-in toothpaste prevents hardening of the toothpaste by isolating the toothpaste from the outside, provides users with pleasure by preventing the leak of the toothpaste, and enhances convenience by easily squeezing the toothpaste.
