Abstract

The present invention relates to an ultra thin metal plate for a switch button device being used in electronic equipments. The ultra thin metal plate is formed by heat-treating a metal sheet of a rolled metal hot coil at a predetermined temperature, washing with an acid, forming a coating layer of nickel or silver on the surfaces of the metal sheet by electroplating, and slitting the metal sheet in a predetermined width. Nickel or silver is strongly attached to the surfaces of the ultra thin metal plate by electroplating. Therefore, quality of the switch button device is greatly improved because nickel or silver is hardly separated from the ultra thin metal plate while pressing the ultra thin metal plate to form a switch button device. Further, damages of a mold or a pressing machine caused by separated nickel or silver powder can be avoided.
