Description

The present invention relates to a toothbrush.
This application claims priority based on Japanese Patent Application No. 2011-010609 filed in Japan on January 21, 2011, the contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.
Toothbrushes are required to have an oral cleaning effect and a massage effect as basic functions, and high value-added toothbrushes have been achieved by improving the basic functions. In order to improve the basic performance, it is common to combine the arrangement and shape of the flock holes, the type and shape of the brush, the hair cutting shape of the hair bundle, and the like.
For example, a toothbrush provided with a bristol bar formed of a rubberized (waterproof) material has been proposed (for example, Patent Document 1). This bristol bar is a substantially rectangular parallelepiped with the width direction of the brush head as the longitudinal direction, and can clean squeegee from the tooth surface when cleaning the oral cavity.
Moreover, what provided the massager which consists of an elastic body is known as a toothbrush aiming at heightening the massage effect.
As a toothbrush provided with a massager, for example, a toothbrush with a toothpaste bar provided with a rubber-like cylindrical rod shape having elasticity on both sides on the outermost side of flocking has been proposed (for example, Patent Document 2). . According to the invention of Patent Document 2, when cleaning the oral cavity with a hair bundle, the gum can be massaged with a rubber-like cylindrical rod-shaped member.
Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 58-17029
However, in the technique of Patent Document 1, the bristol bar slides on the gingiva, but the massage effect on the gingiva is not sufficient. Moreover, in the technique of patent document 2, although the rubber-like cylindrical rod-shaped member presses a gum, the massage effect is not enough. This is because the cylindrical rod-shaped member has no stiffness and cannot press the gingiva with high pressure. Moreover, when the rigidity of a cylindrical rod-shaped member is simply increased, there is a problem that the cleaning effect in the oral cavity is significantly impaired.
Thus, it has been difficult for the conventional technique to achieve both a gingival massage effect and an oral cleaning effect.
Then, it aims at providing the toothbrush which can massage a gingiva effectively, without impairing the cleaning effect in an intraoral area.

A hair bundle group including a plurality of hair bundles is formed on the flocked surface, and the elastic member is provided across the hair bundle group in the width direction of the head portion (short direction of the head portion). It is preferable that the height of the elastic member is lower than the height of the hair bundle. Here, the height of the elastic member means an average length from the flocked surface to the tip of the protrusion, and the height of the hair bundle means an average length from the flocked surface to the tip of the hair bundle.
According to the toothbrush of the present invention, a hair bundle in which a plurality of bristles are bundled is implanted on the flocked surface of the head portion, and the pedestal portion erected on the flocked surface on the head portion, Since the plurality of protrusions formed on the pedestal portion are provided, the gum can be effectively massaged without impairing the cleaning effect.

(First embodiment)
The toothbrush concerning 1st embodiment of this invention is demonstrated with reference to FIG. 1A and FIG. 1B below.
A toothbrush 1 shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B includes a head portion 2 and a long handle portion 3 extending from the head portion 2, and a hair bundle 32 and an elastic member are provided on the flocked surface 20 of the head portion 2. 10 is provided.
A hair bundle 32 in which a plurality of bristles are bundled along the axis O1 from the base 22 to the tip 21 through the center of the head portion 2 is planted on the hair-planting surface 20 in 8 × 2 rows. A bundle group 30 is formed. Further, two elastic members 10 are provided on the flocked surface 20 on both sides of the hair bundle group 30 in the width direction of the head portion 2. Two elastic members 10 are arranged in the direction of the axis O1 on one side of the hair bundle group 30, and two elastic members 10 are arranged in the direction of the axis O1 on the other side of the hair bundle group 30. The width of the head portion 2 is a direction orthogonal to the axis O1.
In the toothbrush 1, the head portion 2 and the handle portion 3 are integrally formed in a long shape as a whole (hereinafter, the head portion 2 and the handle portion 3 are integrally formed is referred to as a handle body. For example, it is obtained by injection molding using a resin as a material.
The resin constituting the handle body can be determined in consideration of the rigidity and mechanical characteristics required for the toothbrush 1, and examples thereof include a high-hardness resin having a flexural modulus (JIS K7203) in the range of 500 to 3000 MPa. Examples of such high-hardness resins include polypropylene (PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polycyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate (PCT), polystyrene (PS), acrylonitrile / butadiene / styrene resin (ABS), and cellulose propio. Nate (CP), polyarylate, polycarbonate, acrylonitrile / styrene copolymer resin (AS), and the like. These can be used individually by 1 type or in combination of 2 or more types.
The handle portion 3 may be partially or entirely covered with a flexible resin such as an elastomer.
The size of the head portion 2 can be determined in consideration of the operability in the oral cavity, for example, the width is 10 to 15 mm, and the thickness is 4 to 8 mm.
The bristles constituting the hair bundle 32 are bristles (taper hairs) whose diameter gradually decreases toward the bristles, and bristles (straight bristles) having substantially the same outer diameter except for the rounded portion of the bristles. Is mentioned.
The material of the hair is, for example, polyamide such as 6-12 nylon or 6-10 nylon, PET, polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polytrimethylene terephthalate (PTT), polyethylene naphthalate (PEN), polybutylene naphthalate ( Synthetic resin materials such as polyesters such as PBN), polyolefins such as PP, olefin elastomers, and styrene elastomers can be used.
A plurality of these resin materials may be used in combination, and among them, a mixture of a plurality of polyesters is preferable in that it can easily increase the stiffness (repulsive force) of the hair and increase the scraping ability of plaque. .
Examples of the bristle include polyester bristle having a multi-core structure having a core part and at least one or more sheath parts provided outside the core part. When a multi-core structure is used, different polyesters can be used for the core portion and the sheath portion, so that the mechanical properties can be easily adjusted. For this reason, it is possible to easily obtain a hair having a strong stiffness and a higher plaque scraping property.
The cross-sectional shape of the bristle is preferably a circle, but is not necessarily limited to a circle, and may be any shape depending on the intended use of the toothbrush 1. For example, the shape may be an ellipse, a polygon (for example, a triangle, a quadrangle, a pentagon, a hexagon, or the like), an irregular shape (for example, a star shape, a three-leaf clover shape, a four-leaf clover shape, or the like).
The thickness of the hair is not particularly limited. For example, when the cross section is circular, the hair is firmer and the effect of scraping the dental plaque is higher, so that it is preferably 6 mil or more. However, when the hair of the hair is made stronger by using hair having a multi-core structure or hair made of a polyester mixture as the hair, a high scraping effect can be obtained even if the hair is less than 6 mils.
Further, in consideration of a feeling of use, a feeling of cleaning, a cleaning effect, durability, and the like, a plurality of hairs having different thicknesses may be used in any combination.
The thickness (hair bundle diameter) of the hair bundle 32 can be determined in consideration of the material and thickness of the hair, and is preferably 1 to 2 mm, for example.
The height H1 of the hair bundle 32, that is, the length from the flocked surface 20 to the tip of the hair bundle 32 can be determined in the range of 6 mm to 13 mm, for example. The hair length H1 of all the hair bundles 32 may be the same or different from each other.
The elastic member 10 includes a pedestal portion 12 erected on the flocked surface 20 and a plurality of protrusions 14 formed on the top surface of the pedestal portion 12. In the present embodiment, the pedestal portion 12 has a substantially oval cylindrical shape in plan view with the direction of the axis O1 as a longitudinal direction, and the protrusion 14 has a substantially conical shape in a substantially true circle shape in plan view. Further, two protrusions 14 are formed side by side in the short direction of the pedestal portion 12 and six in the longitudinal direction of the pedestal portion 12. That is, the protrusions 14 are formed in two rows on the pedestal portion 12.
In the present embodiment, the elastic member 10 is obtained by integrally molding the pedestal portion 12 and the protruding portion 14, and is obtained, for example, by injection molding using a resin as a material.
The resin constituting the elastic member 10 only needs to be appropriately bent at the time of cleaning, and examples thereof include a soft resin. The soft resin preferably has a hardness (JISK6253 hardness test, test condition JIS A) of 5 to 100, more preferably 20 to 60. If the hardness is 5 or more, it has sufficient elasticity and a sufficient massage effect is obtained, and if the hardness is 100 or less, a sufficient massage effect can be obtained without damaging the gums. .
Specific examples of the soft resin include polyolefin-based thermoplastic elastomer, polystyrene-based thermoplastic elastomer, polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer, polyester-based thermoplastic elastomer, 1,2-polybutadiene-based thermoplastic elastomer, ethylene-vinyl acetate-based thermoplastic elastomer. And polyvinyl chloride thermoplastic elastomer, natural rubber thermoplastic elastomer, fluorine thermoplastic elastomer, and trans-polyisoprene thermoplastic elastomer.
In this embodiment, the height h1 of the elastic member 10, that is, the length from the flocked surface 20 to the upper end of the elastic member 10, is preferably, for example, 5.5 to 12.5 mm, and more preferably 7 to 10 mm. If it is more than the said lower limit, the protrusion part 14 will contact | abut to a gum easily at the time of cleaning, and a more favorable massage effect is acquired. If it is below the said upper limit, the elastic member 10 is equipped with moderate hardness and a softness | flexibility, and can improve a massage effect more.
In addition, the height h1 of the elastic member 10 is preferably lower than the height H1 of the hair bundle 32, and the height difference D1 represented by [H1]-[h1] is preferably 0.5 to 3 mm, More preferably, it is 1 to 2.5 mm, and still more preferably 1.2 to 2.2 mm. By the height of the elastic member 10 being lower than the height of the hair bundle 32, the cleaning effect of the tooth surface or interdental portion by the hair bundle 32 and the gingival massage effect by the elastic member 10 can be further improved.
The height h2 of the pedestal portion 12 can be determined in consideration of the hardness and flexibility required for the elastic member 10, and is preferably 5 to 10 mm, and more preferably 6 to 8 mm.
The length l1 of the pedestal portion 12, that is, the length in the longitudinal direction of the pedestal portion 12 in plan view can be determined in consideration of the hardness and flexibility required for the elastic member 10, and is preferably 5 to 10 mm, for example, 6 to 8 mm. Is more preferable.
The width w1 of the pedestal portion 12, that is, the length in the short direction of the pedestal portion 12 in plan view can be determined in consideration of the hardness and flexibility required for the elastic member 10, and is preferably 1 to 5 mm, for example, 2 to 4 mm. Is more preferable.
The height h3 of the protruding portion 14, that is, the length from the upper surface of the pedestal portion 12 to the tip of the protruding portion can be determined in consideration of the material of the protruding portion 14, and is preferably 0.5 to 3 mm, for example. More preferably, it is 2.5 mm. If it is in the said range, a better massage effect can be obtained.
The width r1 of the protrusion 14, that is, the diameter of the base end of the protrusion 14 can be determined in consideration of the material of the protrusion 14, and is preferably 0.5 to 1.2 mm, for example, 0.6 to 1 mm. More preferred.
Within the above range, the balance between strength and flexibility is good.
The manufacturing method of the toothbrush 1 is, for example, forming a handle body (primary molding), providing the elastic body 10 to the obtained handle body (secondary molding), and then implanting the hair bundle 32 in the head portion 2. The thing provided with the hair transplanting process to perform is mentioned.
In the primary molding, a pair of primary molds that form a cavity (concave shape) corresponding to the shape of the handle body is used, and a resin (sometimes referred to as a primary resin) that constitutes the handle body is injected into the cavity. This is an operation to shape the body.
The subsequent secondary molding uses a pair of secondary dies in which cavities corresponding to the shape of the elastic member 10 are formed, and the handle body obtained by the primary molding is loaded into the cavities of the secondary dies. This is an operation of injecting a resin constituting the elastic member 10 (sometimes referred to as a secondary resin) into the mold and providing the elastic member 10 on the flocked surface 20. The cavity of the secondary mold is such that when the handle body is loaded in the cavity, the space formed between the loaded handle body and the cavity has a shape corresponding to the elastic member 10.
The hair transplanting process is a process in which a hair bundle 32 is implanted in the head portion 2 to obtain the toothbrush 1. A known method can be used for planting the hair bundle 32. For example, there is a flat wire flocking method in which a hair bundle composed of a plurality of hairs is folded in half, a retaining member (flat wire) is sandwiched between them, and this flat wire is driven into a flocked hole to fix the hair bundle. A conventionally well-known thing can be used for this flat line, For example, the flat thing made from brass and aluminum is mentioned.
Next, the usage method of the toothbrush 1 of this embodiment is demonstrated.
The tip of the bristle bundle 32 is brought into contact with the tooth surface, and the toothbrush 1 is reciprocated in the direction of the axis O1. At this time, the hair bundle 32 scrapes off the dirt on the tooth surface or the interdental portion, and the protrusion 14 slides on the gingiva. When the protrusion 14 slides on the gingiva, the protrusion 14 or the pedestal 12 is bent or elastically restored by the resistance. Thus, in the toothbrush 1, the elastic member 10 presses the gingiva with an appropriate pressure to exert a massage effect on the gingiva, and the hair bundle 32 scrubs the tooth surface or the neck.
According to this embodiment, since the elastic member is provided, the massage effect to a gum can be exhibited at the time of cleaning in the oral cavity.
Since the elastic member of the present embodiment has a protrusion formed on the pedestal, the protrusion mainly abuts on the gingiva during cleaning in the oral cavity. Since the diameter of the protrusion is smaller than the width and length of the pedestal, the force concentrated on the protrusion is transmitted to the gingiva and flexed flexibly. For this reason, a massage effect can be given to the gingiva with a soft contact feeling.
Generally, a toothbrush is designed so that a bristle bundle can interfere with each other during cleaning in the oral cavity, so that an appropriate bristle waist (repulsive force of hair) can be exerted. When the elastic member 10 is provided on the flocked surface of such a toothbrush, the number of bristle bundles is reduced, the bristle strength is lowered, and the cleaning effect tends to be lowered.
According to this embodiment, since the hair | bristle bundle 32 is pinched | interposed by the elastic member 10, the bending condition to the width direction of the head part 2 is restrict | limited. For this reason, even if the quantity is small, the hair | bristle bundle 32 is equipped with a strong bristle waist and can improve the cleaning effect more.
(Second embodiment)
The toothbrush concerning 2nd embodiment of this invention is demonstrated with reference to FIG. 2A and FIG. 2B below. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the same member as the toothbrush 1 of 1st embodiment, the description is abbreviate | omitted, and a different point from 1st embodiment is mainly demonstrated.
The toothbrush 100 shown to FIG. 2A and FIG. 2B is a thing in which the hair | bristle bundle group 30 is formed in the flocked surface 20 of the head part 2, and the elastic member 110 was provided in the both sides of the bristle bundle group 30. FIG.
One elastic member 110 is provided on each side of the hair bundle group 30. The elastic member 110 includes a pedestal portion 112 erected on the flocked surface 20 and a plurality of protrusions 14 formed on the top surface of the pedestal portion 112. In the present embodiment, the pedestal part 112 has a substantially elliptical columnar shape in plan view with the direction of the axis O1 as the longitudinal direction. Two protrusions 14 are formed side by side in the short direction of the base 112 and 14 in the longitudinal direction of the base 112.
The elastic member 110 is obtained by integrally molding the pedestal portion 112 and the protruding portion 14, and is obtained, for example, by injection molding using a resin as a material. The resin is the same as the resin constituting the elastic member 10.
The length l2 of the pedestal part 112 can be determined in consideration of the size of the head part 2 and the like, and is, for example, 12 to 20 mm.
According to the present embodiment, the elastic member is longer in the axial direction of the head portion than in the first embodiment, and is not easily bent during cleaning. For this reason, a massage effect can be given to a gingiva by comparatively strong irritation | stimulation.
(Third embodiment)
The toothbrush concerning 3rd embodiment of this invention is demonstrated with reference to FIG. 3A and FIG. 3B below.
In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the same member as the toothbrush 1 of 1st embodiment, the description is abbreviate | omitted, and a different point from 1st embodiment is mainly demonstrated.
The toothbrush 200 shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B has a hair bundle group 30 formed on the flocked surface 20 of the head portion 2 and elastic members 210 provided on both sides of the hair bundle group 30.
Three elastic members 210 are provided on both sides of the hair bundle group 30. Three elastic members 210 are arranged in the direction of the axis O1 on one side of the hair bundle group 30, and three elastic members 210 are arranged in the direction of the axis O1 on the other side of the hair bundle group 30.
The elastic member 210 includes a pedestal portion 212 erected on the flocked surface 20 and a plurality of protrusions 14 formed on the top surface of the pedestal portion 212. In the present embodiment, the pedestal portion 212 has a substantially oval cylindrical shape in plan view with the direction of the axis O1 as the longitudinal direction. Two protrusions 14 are formed side by side in the short direction of the base 212 and four in the longitudinal direction of the base 212.
The elastic member 210 is obtained by integrally molding the pedestal portion 212 and the protruding portion 14, and is obtained, for example, by injection molding using resin as a material. The resin is the same as the resin constituting the elastic member 10.
The length l3 of the pedestal portion 212 can be determined in consideration of the size of the head portion 2 and the like, and is, for example, 3 to 10 mm.
According to this embodiment, the elastic member has a shorter length in the longitudinal direction than that of the first embodiment, and is easily bent during cleaning. For this reason, a massage effect can be given to gingiva with a softer contact feeling.
(Fourth embodiment)
A toothbrush according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 4A and 4B.
In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the same member as the toothbrush 1 of 1st embodiment, the description is abbreviate | omitted, and a different point from 1st embodiment is mainly demonstrated.
The toothbrush 300 shown in FIG. 4A and FIG. 4B is provided with four elastic members 10 and 18 bristle bundles 32 so as to surround the elastic members 10.
The four elastic members 10 are provided at a substantially central portion of the flocked surface 20, and two elastic members 10 are provided side by side in the direction of the axis O1 on both sides of the axis O1. Each elastic member 10 has a substantially oval shape in plan view with the direction of the axis O1 as a longitudinal direction.
The hair bundle 32 is provided along the periphery of the head portion 2 so as to surround the four elastic members 10.
According to the present embodiment, since the elastic member is provided at the substantially central portion of the flocked surface, the hair bundle provided surrounding the elastic member is not interfered with the elastic member when bent to the outside of the head portion. For this reason, the hair bundle easily bends toward the outside of the head portion, and the hair tip easily enters a narrow place such as an interdental portion. On the other hand, the hair bundle exhibits a strong bristle when bending toward the center of the flocked surface, and can clean the tooth surface and the occlusal portion of the back teeth with a strong force. As described above, according to the present embodiment, the strength of the hair waist is changed depending on the direction in which the hair bundle is bent, and the cleaning effect of the tooth surface or the occlusal surface and the interdental portion can be further improved.
(Fifth embodiment)
A toothbrush according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 5A and 5B.
In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the same member as the toothbrush 1 of 1st embodiment, the description is abbreviate | omitted, and a different point from 1st embodiment is mainly demonstrated.
The toothbrush 400 shown in FIGS. 5A and 5B has 16 bristle bundles 32 and three elastic members 10 provided on the flocked surface 20. From the tip 21, the second hair bundle series 432, the first hair bundle series 430, the elastic member 10, the first hair bundle series 430, the elastic member 10, the first hair bundle series 430, The elastic member 10 and the second hair bundle series 432 are provided in this order. The first hair bundle series 430 is formed by arranging four hair bundles 32 side by side in the width direction of the head part 2, and the second hair bundle series 432 is composed of two hair bundles 32 having a head part. 2 formed side by side in the width direction. The elastic member 10 is provided so that the width direction of the head portion 2 is long.
According to the present embodiment, when cleaning the inside of the oral cavity by reciprocating the toothbrush in the axial direction of the head portion, the bristles adjacent to the elastic member are limited in the degree of bending in the direction of the elastic member, and the bristles are Become stronger. On the other hand, in a direction where the elastic members are not adjacent to each other, the hair bundle can be greatly bent and the hair and waist become weak. Thus, according to the present embodiment, the strength of the hair and waist changes depending on the direction in which the hair bundle bends, and the cleaning effect of the tooth surface, the occlusal surface and the interdental portion can be further improved.

The resin is the same as the resin constituting the elastic member 10.
The height h4 of the elastic member 510 is the same as the height h1 of the elastic member 10.
The height h5 of the pedestal portion 512 is the same as the height h2 of the pedestal portion 12.
The diameter R1 of the pedestal part 512 is determined in consideration of the size of the head part 2 and the like, for example, 1 to 3 mm.
According to the present embodiment, since the pedestal portion is cylindrical, the pedestal portion can be flexed more flexibly and a softer contact feeling can be provided.
