(c)最長毛束の先端から植毛面側1mmの位置で棒状体が接触すると共に歯ブラシの長手方向と棒状体の長手方向とが互いに垂直になるように、被摺動体を往復移動させる。
(d)被摺動体の移動速度を10mm/分とする。

 モニター10人が各例の歯ブラシを使用し、歯茎を面で清掃する実感を下記評価基準にて評価した。モニター10人の平均点が2.5点以上を「A」、平均点2.0点以上2.5点未満を「B」、平均点1.5点以上2.0点未満を「C」、平均点1.5点未満を「D」とした。
(評価基準)
 3点:歯茎を面で清掃する実感を非常に感じる。
 2点:歯茎を面で清掃する実感を感じる。
 1点:歯茎を面で清掃する実感をあまり感じない。
 0点:歯茎を面で清掃する実感を感じない。

 植毛密度が2500本/cm以上で(A/B)の値が40[1/cm]以上である実施例1~5の歯ブラシは、毛先の撓み感が良好であると共に高い清掃実感が得られ、歯茎を面で刷掃する実感にも優れていた。
 比較例1~4の歯ブラシは、植毛本数が2500本/cm未満であったため、歯茎を面で刷掃する実感が不充分であった。
 比較例4,5の歯ブラシは、(A/B)の値が40[1/cm]未満であったため、毛先の撓み感が不充分であった。

Claims (3)

  1.  先端にヘッド部が設けられたハンドル体を備え、前記ヘッド部の植毛面に用毛の毛束が植設された歯ブラシにおいて、
     植毛密度が2500本/cm以上であり、
     (JIS S 3016に従って測定された垂直毛腰強度A[N/cm])/(下記測定方法により測定された水平毛腰強度B[N])の値(A/B)が40[1/cm]以上である歯ブラシ。
    <水平毛腰強度の測定方法>
     被摺動体を下記(a)~(d)の摺動条件で毛束に摺動させ、被摺動体にかかった摺動方向の最大荷重を水平毛腰強度Bとする。
    [摺動条件]
    (a)2本以上の円柱状の棒状体(ステンレス製、直径:0.5mm、最大表面粗さRa:0.4mm)が互いに平行に一定間隔(棒状体の中心同士で3mm間隔)で配列された被摺動体を用いる。
