Someone Turned a BMW E92 M3 Into a Pickup Truck

From Road & Track

Turning a normal car into a pickup makes even the most boring cars great, but turning a great car into a pickup produces art. This E92 BMW M3 pickup is the latter. It was built a tuning shop in South Africa, and it's basically the German El Camino you didn't know you needed in your life. You can have your E30 M3 because I'll take this instead.

This work of passion comes to us from Mad Dog Racing in South Africa, and it's claimed to be the only supercharged M3 pickup in the world. Mad Dog also claims that it's rigid enough to be used regularly, even though it's lost a significant amount of its roof. It does appear some extra thick B-pillars were added, so perhaps those help with rigidity.

The M3's trunk lid has been cut to make a full bed, but sadly, it doesn't function as a tailgate–it opens upward like the trunk on a regular M3 Coupe. That's a minor disappointment though, since the build quality looks excellent and the professional-looking bed liner is a nice touch. Mad Dog Racing unfortunately hasn't shared any details on this M3-amino, so we only have pictures to go by.

BMW itself built an E92 M3 pickup for April Fool's Day in 2011, but unlike that car, you could theoretically buy one of these. I can't think of a car I'd rather show up to a job site in, even if my hauling capacity was a bit limited.
